Robert
V. Timms, Jr. is a partner at Inman & Strickler focusing
his practice in the areas of Business Law, Corporation Law,
Estate Planning and Administration, Trust Law, Tax Law, Commercial
Real Estate, and Construction Law.
Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Mr. Timms received his B.A. (Econ.)
from the University of Virginia in 1981, his J.D. from T.C.
Williams School of Law, University of Richmond in 1986, and
a M.L.&T (Taxation) from Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College
of William & Mary in 1991.
Mr. Timms was named a “Virginia Legal Elite” in
2008 (business law) and in 2009 (taxes/estate/trusts/elder law)
by Virginia Business magazine and a Virginia “Super Lawyer”
(taxation/trusts and estates) in 2010 and 2011.
Mr. Timms is presently serving on the Executive Committee of
the Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, on the Board of Directors
of the Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association Foundation (President
2011), and on the Board of Directors of the Judeo Christian
Outreach Center. He is also a member of the Lynnhaven Kiwanis
Club (President 2011-2012) and a graduate of Leadership Hampton
Roads.
